The shining wise are those who walk in the ways of righteousness and prompt others to join them on their radiant journey. The gospel of Matthew shares a parable of five wise virgins who take extra oil so that their lamps continually shine through the darkest hours. The oil is a symbol of the Holy Spirit which enables the children of God to shine forth the character of His Son. He is the light of the world, and His prophetic word is a light that shines in a dark place. All who follow Him will not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
